Welcome to LifeLongYou Counseling & Coaching Services! We're here to empower adult survivors of complex trauma on their journey to healing and transformation.

Did you survive childhood trauma but still have leftover feelings like worry, anxiety, fear, aloneness, loneliness, exhaustion, resentment, irritability, discouragement and others?

Do you find it difficult to choose healthy romantic partners and friends, settling for being used and unappreciated, then feeling desperately attached, less than and insecure?

Are you disappointed with how hard you keep having to work to make others like you, to get ahead, to feel accomplished, to belong?

Do you feel like you’re not quite able to be your true self? Stuck and a bit disappointed with how your life looks vastly different from what you once expected?

Do you criticize yourself then wear yourself out trying too hard to do too well, then soothe yourself with unhealthy coping patterns like drinking, food, spending and others?

These are all symptoms of attachment issues in adulthood that often spring from unresolved pain in childhood, and they can be healed.

These are all symptoms of attachment issues in adulthood that often spring from unresolved pain in childhood. My passion and life’s work is partnering with clients who want to unearth their childhood dreams of an amazing future and make them a reality. I can help you get unstuck and on track to create and start living your best life now.
I help adult survivors of childhood relational trauma work through attachment problems with safe guidance, support, empathy, wisdom, validation, inspiration & advocacy. My clients gain clarity, confront & conquer their blocks, turning them into freedom and strength in relationships with themselves and others.
I offer an integrated, holistic, modern approach to empowering your own healing process. You'll find the experience to feel very practical, active & genuine. I'll guide you to find your personal power, finish the emotional work of your past, & adjust your beliefs & behavior to match your best-life vision & restore your sense of joy & energy.
I have a long and varied work history that I draw from when offering guidance to my clients. It’s important to me that I pass on the wisdom I have learned from educating, caring for and counseling people of all ages and abilities. My past professional experiences include caring for preschoolers and school age students with varying physical and cognitive challenges, teaching elementary school and aging adults, providing school counseling to middle school and high school students, providing case management for teens with behavioral health issues, and providing aftercare coordination and therapy to clients in residential as well as outpatient treatment programs for codependency and substance abuse, all prior to my work in private practice in Kentucky and now Florida. These experiences have led me to view healing as a developmental growth process. Rather than focusing on a problem or considering my clients to be flawed in some ways, I view people as full of potential with the right to exercise their ultimate freedom – that of personal choice, ownership of their autonomy and individual interpretation of their authentic self. I use trauma-based interventions that help clients understand & adjust their thought life, behavior & feelings patterns by getting in touch with & releasing stuck emotions, connecting & aligning their bodies, minds, emotions & spirits using somatic awareness, helping clients gain self-leadership through balancing out psychological "parts" using IFS, & replacing their inner critic with an inner advocate.
I believe that the work needs a holistic approach, so I use a variety of tools like mindfulness, somatic work, movement, emotions-focused experiential approaches, integrative energy work, along with cognitive behavioral methods to help my clients gain a healthy balance of control over their mind and actions in tandem with their spiritual development and healing. I help clients clarify and understand their purpose in their lives and become empowered to reach greater levels of potential in their personal goals. I believe that healing happens best in a safe place with a safe guide that allows clients to renew their bodies, minds, and spirits. I work as this safe guide, journeying with clients who have suffered anxiety and depression, grief, childhood trauma, painful relationships, and addictions of all sorts, including substances and processes. Many of my clients are gifted in certain capacities, including intellectually, spiritually, creatively, and I provide a space of specialized understanding and safety which helps them to heal and grow. In addition to providing psychodynamic and mindfulness-based therapies, I utilize skills and techniques drawing from some specific therapeutic models, including: Emotions-Focused Individual Therapy (EFiT), Narrative Therapy, Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills (DBT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP – empty chair therapy, inner child connection), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Systems Thinking approaches, in addition to creative expressive approaches like art therapy, movement therapy, journaling, sandtray and play therapy for adults.
